Beating the Bah Humbug..

I'm trying my damnedest to beat this bah humbug thing I've got going on. Here it is 8 days until Christmas and I haven't bought not one gift, don't have any decorations up, and the tree is still in its box in the basement. Ask me if I care? I thought some snow would help, but it hasn't. The only thing I know to do to try to get myself into the holiday spirit is to knit something that's fast and easy.

I've got two Central Park Hoodies on the needles right now. One is being sewn together and the other is sitting on my side table laughing at me. To give myself a break, I decided to knit up something that would provide a bit of instant gratification while describing my current mood, Dizzy from Berocco.
This is a fun, easy, and quick hat to make. It only took me a few hours to complete and I didn't use too much yarn, so it makes a great stash-busting or left-over yarn project. I made this up in Patons Classic Merino Wool and didn't use much yarn at all. In fact, the skein wasn't even "squeshy" when I was finished...so I'd guess between 50 - 75 yards.
It was a little small on me, but then again, I've got a normal sized head with a lot of hair.
So I've got my instant gratification and some snow on the ground. There still aren't any decorations up and the tree is yelling at me from the basement. Will this be enough to get my butt in the holiday spirit?
Miss ya MJ!
23rd...
